Administration

Becky Accolla began her career in education in 2004 as a fifth grade teacher in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 2009, she relocated to South Carolina and continued teaching fifth grade at Oakbrook Elementary in Summerville, where she supported students in both gifted and talented programs as well as inclusion classrooms.

After moving to Mount Pleasant, Mrs. Accolla taught fourth and fifth grades at Charles Pinckney Elementary and Carolina Park Elementary. In 2020, she advanced into school leadership, serving as the assistant administrator at Carolina Park and later as the assistant principal at Pinckney Elementary.

A two-time Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Accolla brings nearly two decades of teaching and leadership experience to her role as principal. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Radford University and earned her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from The Citadel.

Mrs. Accolla lives within the Carolina Park attendance zone and loves being an active member of the school community. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, staying active, and relaxing at the beach.

Mrs. Accolla has shared that she is honored and excited to return to the Carolina Park community as principal. She believes Carolina Park is a special place, and she looks forward to working together with the school’s incredible students, staff, and families to continue building a school where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to achieve their best.

Stacy began her career in Charleston County as a fourth-grade teacher at AC Corcoran Elementary where she was the lead personalized learning teacher and the team lead. She also taught third grade at James B Edwards Elementary. In 2018, Stacy served as the instructional coach at Pepperhill Elementary School where she supported teachers and students in grades CD-5 by implementing rigorous reading and math instruction. Stacy began her time at Carolina Park Elementary in 2021 as the assistant administrator where she supported the launch of the Ron Clark house system and leads the school MTSS team. Stacy continues to serve at Carolina Park Elementary as the assistant principal. 

Stacy enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She enjoys exploring the authentic Charleston cuisine and visiting the beach.

Theresa began her career in 2003, serving as a third teacher and a SAIL teacher for 13 years in the Charleston County School District.  In 2014, she continued to serve schools in the Charleston County School District as a Personalized Learning Coach. In 2017, Theresa extended her educational journey into the South Carolina Department of Education serving schools as a Transformation Coach and a Personalized Learning Coach. Theresa returned to the Charleston County School District in 2019 as an assistant principal. 

In her spare time, she enjoys taking daily walks with her husband, Gus, and spending time with her children.
